Deep, expressive Sangiovese with serious presence. Dark cherry, sweet tobacco, underbrush and a thread of dried herbs, the fruit is rich but never heavy, held in check by firm tannins and bright acidity. Purity is the defining quality here, with each layer revealing itself cleanly through a long finish. The extended oak aging pulls it closer to Soldera's earlier style, adding structure and gravitas. Fewer than 2,000 bottles exist, which only sharpens the point: this is Case Basse at its most thrilling. Drink now through 2035.
