Dark cherry, warm spice and French oak up front, the wood is a touch forward at first but settles with air, letting the fruit take over. Round and generous through the mid-palate, with good brightness keeping it from feeling heavy. The finish fans out nicely, adding flesh and length. Of Busso's current lineup, this is the most accessible, a quality owed largely to the 2007 vintage. Decant if you can.
