Muga Rioja Blanco 2007

White peach, orange blossom and smoked stone fruit lead on the nose, with dusty minerals and a touch of baking spice giving it character. Ninety percent viura and ten percent malvasia — fleshy and generous but kept honest by a surge of tangy minerality that cuts through mid-palate. It opens up nicely with air, rounding out without losing its focus, and closes long and silky with ripe pear and a trailing citrus note.
