Agrapart Vénus Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2007

Vivid and explosive from the first pour, citrus blossom and white peach burst from the glass, underpinned by that unmistakable Avize chalk. On the palate, orange pith and ripe pear fill out with air, building to a concentrated, almost chewy mid-palate without ever losing their grip or focus. Flinty tension runs all the way through the finish, lending a tautness that marks this as a wine of real ambition. One of the standout expressions from a complicated vintage, and it still has years ahead of it.
