Dark, dense, and utterly singular. Black cherry, licorice, espresso, tobacco and mocha arrive in force, yet the 2006 Alzero never tips into excess, a current of restraint threads through all that richness, holding everything in check. The balance feels almost effortless, the depth genuinely impressive. When Alzero hits this mark, nothing in Valpolicella comes close.
