Cloves, allspice, cinnamon and dried flowers woven through musky red currant — this smells like a spice merchant's back room. Acidity cuts in immediately on the first sip, bright and cooling, pushing a surge of tart wild berries forward while sour citrus keeps things honest. There's serious tannic weight here, yet the primary fruit holds its ground and a balsamic thread lingers on the close. Still angular and unresolved, all raw potential — but the bones are excellent. Il Marroneto

Small Montalcino estate producing Brunello and Rosso from a single north-facing hillside site, including the single-vineyard Madonna delle Grazie, long regarded as one of the appellation's benchmark addresses.
