Stony and expressive, with the chalky soils of Cumières written all over it. Baked apple, white flowers and warm spice open up with air, the Pinot Noir fruit generous but kept honest by a flinty backbone. Fine, persistent bubbles carry through to a long finish with a briny, sea-spray edge.
