Perfumed and graceful, this 2004 Gattinara leads with dried cherry, violet, warm spice and a thread of tobacco. Medium-bodied, with a silky texture that glides across the palate, tannins present but fine and unobtrusive. An unusually polished wine from Travaglini, showing Nebbiolo's lighter, more floral side without sacrificing character.
