Dark, brooding, and utterly captivating. Black cherry, dried fig, tobacco, licorice and incense smoke build in waves, with each pass through the glass uncovering something new — a thread of leather here, a deeper seam of earth there. Full-bodied and concentrated yet never heavy, with the structure to age gracefully for decades. This was tasted shortly after bottling, and already the depth on display is staggering; more time in bottle will only sharpen the focus. Don't hesitate if you find it — just be prepared to wait.
