Citrus oil, white flowers, and a flinty, chalky undercurrent define the nose, cool, precise, and tightly wound. Fine persistent bubbles thread through a palate built on tension: linear acidity, sleek texture, and a finish that draws long and clean. High yields made 2004 a difficult vintage, and ruthless sorting separated the exceptional from the merely good, this is clearly the former. Needs time; there are decades of development in here.
