Honeyed and dense, with layers of caramelized pear, candied ginger and toasted brioche. The palate shows impressive weight for the vintage, though it lacks the soaring elegance that defines legendary Sauternes. Solid acidity keeps everything in balance. A respectable effort from a difficult year.
