Deep copper-salmon, with 2003's heat stamped all over the nose — ripe raspberry, dried rose, blood orange, and a curl of warm spice that gives it an almost exotic richness. Broad and generous across the mouth, yet a lively thread of acidity pulls the pinot fruit into focus and stops it from going soft. Persistent bead with a long, stony finish edged with dried herbs and a whisper of smoke. Drink now through 2030.
