Artadi Pagos Viejos 2000

Dark cherry, blackberry preserve, and espresso on the nose, with graphite and a trace of roasted earth giving it a brooding undercurrent. Generous and ripe on the palate, black fruit pushed forward through a firm, well-knit structure. Fine, dusty tannins provide grip without harshness, closing on a dry, mineral finish. Old-vine depth with real backbone.
