History
Randy Peters farms the vineyard with his father-in-law Tom Mukaida, west of Sebastopol. The Pinot Noir dates from the 1980s, which makes it old for a site of this kind, and Anthill Farms, Papapietro Perry and The Withers have all bottled it as a vineyard designate.
The Site
Cool, wind-exposed ground west of Sebastopol. The wines are labelled Sonoma Coast, not Russian River Valley, despite the site's position near that boundary.
Vines and Blocks
Pinot Noir in the Pommard and 777 selections from the original 1980s planting. A more recent block of under an acre carries Syrah and Viognier.
