History
Bruce Holder farms the vineyard on Harrison Grade, on the ridge above Occidental, directly across the road from Charles Heintz. It is a grower's site rather than an estate, small enough that the wines made from it are counted in barrels.
The Site
About 1.8 acres at 850 feet on Goldridge soil, on the exposed ridge that also carries Heintz and Radio-Coteau's ground. The doc's parcel number for it is absent from the Sonoma roll, and the vineyard currently has no anchor in our own map data.
Vines and Blocks
Pinot Noir in Dijon clones 115, 667 and 777.
The Wines
Bottled in very small quantity as a vineyard designate, in the cool, high-acid register the Occidental ridge produces.
