History
The vineyard was planted in the mid-1970s; DuMOL's own release notes put the vines at forty-five years old in 2019, which gives 1974, while Marchelle Wines dates the planting to 1973. The Bazzano family farms it. DuMOL has made a Lorenzo Vineyard Chardonnay in very small volume for years, and Marchelle bottles from the same source.
The Site
Russian River Valley ground near the Laguna de Santa Rosa wetland corridor, on Wright loam. The site is farmed under Fish Friendly Farming and certified sustainable practice.

Chardonnay in the Old Wente selection, the low-yielding heritage material that gives small, uneven clusters.
The Wines
DuMOL's Lorenzo Chardonnay runs to a few barrels a year, 248 cases in 2019: dense and reductive, made in the house's most concentrated style.
