History
The vineyard supplied fruit to Land of Saints before A Tribute to Grace took it on exclusively in 2022, making it the winery's first foray into the sands of Ballard Canyon. Francisco Ramirez farms it organically.
The Site
A twenty-acre parcel with seven acres planted, on a south-facing slope of sand over limestone. That combination, free-draining sand above a water-holding calcareous base, is the reason Grenache does what it does here.
Vines and Blocks
Seven acres divided equally between Grenache and Syrah. The Grenache is clone 369, an ENTAV-INRA selection new to the Grace range when it was taken on.
The Wines
A Tribute to Grace bottles the site as a monopole. Some retailers shorten the name to Dorigo Vineyard, which is the same ground.
