Wild Horse Valley

A small, cold AVA on a volcanic plateau in the southern Vaca range, straddling the Napa and Solano county line east of the city of Napa. It looks straight down at San Pablo Bay with no ridge in between, which makes it the coolest viticultural ground in Napa County and one of the least planted appellations in California.
