Stone fruit meets crushed limestone in Burgundy's most electric grand cru.

Electric minerality cuts through layers of white peach and Meyer lemon. Crushed limestone, wet chalk, brioche crust. Oak integration flawless - vanilla bean whispers, never shouts. Mid-palate density remarkable. Honeyed richness balanced by razor-sharp acidity. Finish goes on forever. Saline notes linger like sea spray on granite. This 2017 shows Bâtard's unique position between power and elegance. More structured than Montrachet, more refined than Chevalier. Cellar ten years minimum. Will reward patience through 2040. Textbook example of why this climat commands respect. Pure, focused, utterly compelling.
